Environmental Suite User Fees and Policy StatementSeptember 2001 GENERAL POLICY
The CAPT Environmental Labs consist of computer controlled environmental equipment and the associated accessories. Proper operation of the equipment requires familiarity with the physical plant. This includes electrical service, DI water Distribution, Gas delivery and distribution and associated equipment interface, and finally the equipment cooling systems. Therefore, there will be a minimum 2 hour engineering charge ($150) charge to review the User requirements, program the equipment and prepare the physical interface of the environmental equipment with the USER equipment. Additional time to prep for test will charged as incurred at either the Engineering Rate or a Technician Rate of $35/hr as deemed appropriate by CAPT personnel. Consumables such as nitrogen or carbon dioxide
gas will be billed to the USER at cost plus 20%. Temperature Chambers will only be periodically
monitored unless otherwise requested by USER. This equipment may be
operated through the night without an attendee. The Vibration Equipment must have a CAPT operator
in attendance at all times to provide for an emergency shutdown to
protect both USER Equipment and CAPT vibration equipment. There is no extra charge for use of the DATA
ACQUISITION EQUIPMENT in the environmental lab. All other CAPT
equipment use will be charged per standard CAPT policy and practice. The use of the Environmental Equipment will be
billed on either a daily or half day increments. Anything less than 5
hours is considered a half day. LIABILITY
The USER accepts full liability for any damages,
financial, physical or otherwise, which might be incurred by their
product or employees as a result of environmental test operations at
CAPT. RATES
*Prepaid Weekly Rate secures weekly rate for a 1 year period, even if used only 1 day at a time.
